Jerry Murphy is a Shareholder at Moulton Bellingham. Jerry's practice areas are primarily civil litigation including products liability law, aviation law, commercial and banking law, and insurance defense. He practices in Montana and surrounding States, both in state and federal courts.
Jerry was born in Missoula, Montana, on August 19, 1945. He received a B.A. degree from the University of Montana in 1968. He served in the military during the Viet Nam war as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. Upon return to Montana, Jerry attended law school and received his J.D. degree from the University of Montana School of Law in 1974. Upon the basis of academic ranking he was chosen Associate Editor of the Montana Law Review.
Jerry has had a distinguished and active practice. He has served on the U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee Panel for the District of Montana and now handles litigation throughout Montana. He was selected to be included in the publications, The Best Lawyers in America and in Mountain States Super Lawyers.
Jerry was elected to, and served on, the Billings School District Board of Trustees. Jerry is on the National Advisory Board for Rocky Mountain College and on the Board of Visitors for the University of Montana School of Law. He was recently selected to serve on the board of the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association. He has previously served on the boards of American Legion Baseball, the United Way, and the Charles M. Bair Foundation.
