Michele Braukmann is a Shareholder at Moulton Bellingham, practicing as a litigator. She focuses her work in the areas of insurance defense, employment law, municipal liability, medical malpractice, and business litigation.
Michele was born in Sioux Ste. Marie, Michigan, a small town in the Upper Peninsula of the State. She spent her time as a child living in many different States, eventually settling in the State of Montana for high school. After high school, Michele attended the University of Montana in Missoula, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, High Honors. Immediately after undergraduate school, Michele enrolled in the Law School of the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana. After spending several years in the South Bend and Chicago area, she graduated from Notre Dame's Law School, earning a Juris Doctorate Degree, Magna Cum Laude.
Michele clerked for Moulton Bellingham during the summer between her second and third year of law school, and she was offered an Associate Attorney position to begin after she completed her law degree. She has now practiced at Moulton Bellingham since her return to Montana, and she is now a Shareholder and Board Member of the firm.
In addition to practicing law, Michele serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Yellowstone County, which services youths in four different Clubs in Billings and the surrounding communities. As an alum of the Boys and Girls Club, Michele is passionate about their mission to provide opportunities for young people to achieve their full potential. Michele has also been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Montana Alliance. Michele is also a member of the Yellowstone County Bar Association and the State Bar of Montana. She is admitted to practice in the State of Montana District Courts, the federal District Courts in the State, and the Ninth Circuit.
Michele has three young children, who keep her busy outside of the firm -- sons Reese and Levi and daughter Jamison. Michele's husband is also an attorney, formerly an attorney at Moulton Bellingham, and now practicing at the Braukmann Law Firm, PLLC. In her spare time, Michele and her family love enjoying the beautiful outdoors of the Big Sky State.
